SUBJECT: Group Risk Income Protection-Harvest Revenue Option (GRIP-HRO) Expansion to Grain Sorghum, for the 2005 Crop Year

On January 13, 2005, the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Board of Directors approved GRIP-HRO for the 2005 crop year in all states and counties approved for GRIP grain sorghum.

The Risk Management Agency (RMA) has previously placed the following applicable documents, including Summary of Changes on the RMA Website at: http://www.rma.usda.gov/ under "Crop Policies:"

GRIP Basic Provisions (05-GRIP-Basic);
GRIP Grain Sorghum Crop Provisions (05-GRIP-Grain Sorghum)
GRIP - Harvest Revenue Option Endorsement (04-GRIP-HRO)

GRIP-HRO Grain Sorghum is available in certain states and counties that include 15 counties in south Texas having a January 31 sales closing date, 2 Texas counties with a February 15 sales closing date, and all other counties in Texas and all other states approved for GRIP and GRIPHRO having a March 15 sales closing date.

Today, RMA also released all appropriate actuarial material reflecting the availability of GRIPHRO
for grain sorghum.
