25th Anniversary of Rain and Hail Insurance Service, Inc.

2005 is a milestone year, as it marks the 25th anniversary of both Rain and Hail Insurance Service, Inc. and the MPCI Program. Today, just as when the organization began operation in 1919 as the Rain and Hail Insurance Bureau, we are an industry leader in developing sound insurance programs and providing solid service and support to our vast network of agents and policyholders.

The first generation of Rain and Hail managers are recognized still today as pioneers in the crop insurance industry. In addition to forming one of the nation's first risk management pools in 1919, they also played a major role in establishing equitable adjusting and rating procedures for the industry.
