Rain and Hail L.L.C., an agricultural insurance provider, and its employee owners have again given thousands of dollars and donated time to the communities in which they work and live. Rain and Hail and its employee owners are committed to improving the lives of others, even when it means giving up their Saturday, or a part of their paycheck.
In 2007, the Rain and Hail Sponsorship Committee, who plans for and organizes all of the community commitment events within the company’s Johnston office, planned a variety of events during which employees and the company can donate to a variety of organizations. This year, employees contributed more than $25,000 and numerous hours to seven non-profit organizations. As a company, Rain and Hail donated almost $30,000 in company match programs and annual donations to a number of organizations that give back to the local community. Many of the donations are made to organizations that are requested by employees, because the organization is working toward a cause that is important to that person. Rain and Hail and its employee owners demonstrate each year through their actions that by giving back to the community, they make a positive difference.
Some of the community commitment highlights from 2007 include:
In addition to the company-wide activities, many employees participate in and donate to philanthropic events during their own spare time, ranging from Special Olympics to SIDS to ChildServe. Rain and Hail and its employee owners are committed to giving back to their community enriching the lives of others.
